1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BeyondMe, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

BeyondMe is a digital legacy management platform that allows users to store encrypted digital assets and designate recipients who will be notified in the event of prolonged user inactivity. The service includes heartbeat monitoring, encrypted vault storage, and automated notification delivery.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and master password.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must check in within your configured interval to prevent automatic asset release.

4. Encryption & Data Security

All sensitive data is encrypted client-side using AES-256-GCM before being stored. Your master password is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We cannot recover your master password or decrypt your data. You are solely responsible for remembering your master password.

5. Asset Release

When your heartbeat check-in interval expires without a check-in, the system will automatically notify your designated recipients. Once assets are released, this action cannot be undone. It is your responsibility to maintain regular check-ins if you do not wish your assets to be released.

6. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to data loss, unauthorized access, or failure of the notification system.

7. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, all stored data will be permanently deleted.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
